Tree House Challenge Day 24 : 30-08-2017

It's the last day of the expedition so you have to complete a survey form before the final video report will play... not really but please do!

The final night served up a crazy dose of wind, rain, hail and snow. I hadn't tied down the tree house tent cover properly and my sleeping bags and most of me was damp and cold by the morning. It didn't matter though, because it is departure day. Steve, Dan and the gang were camped down low with the the kettle boiling for a final cuppa before loading the ute and driving home.

Hopefully you have enjoyed the three and half weeks of forest science and adventure that we have shared. I've certainly learned a lot, and not only about the different forest types. I couldn't have done it without a lot of help. Most importantly, thankyou students and teachers for making this the most active adventure learning project that we've ever done. Some days the discussion board was so busy I barely had time to climb trees or find insects! That's a sure sign that our community of scientists, students and adventure was humming along at a cracking pace.

It was especially wonderful to have our online scientist come into the field and join the expedition for all of the stages of the journey.
