Phew, just reached Hellyer Beach after 11 hours on the water. And that's it for Search for the Shy Albatross. The students, with Alastair and Emma, took a faster route home with Rat and his boat and I hear they're just about back in Hobart to complete the journey.
I had a smooth run with a moderate tail wind all the way. It couldn't have been a better day on the water, conditions were perfect. By chance I spotted a sooty albatross and three final shy's. I'm exhausted so I'll do a final post tomorrow to say the many thank you's that are needed. If you would like to know what to look forward to next year stay tuned for a sneak preview. Now, where are those rolled oats?
