Our next destination, as we edge closer to Albatross Island, is Three Hummock Island. It's north from here so today's wind direction was a problem. Such a problem that I decided to stay put here in the Hammond's shack. The low tide this morning took the water out a very, very long way. I think it made the biggest beach I've ever seen! Amongst the endless ripple marks were patches of fine green seagrass, clam shells, crab burrows and, I suspect, much more that I couldn't see. Go to my question to Dr Alastair for more on crabs...

Biggest beach ever?
Above the high tide mark several tracks were preserved. Looks like a Tasmanian Devil or three live over here, probably enjoying some of the many pademelons and wallabies.
