Welcome to the beginning of our eagle adventure this year.
I'm Dr Clare Hawkins and I'll be taking you on a scientific journey to learn about birds in Tasmania with my friend Dr James Pay.
You'll also find some fascinating opportunities here to think about these birds artistically and culturally - especially the Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle.
INTRO WEBINAR
At either 9 am on Thursday 11 May or 11.30 am on Monday 15 May AEST...
...join us as we kick off our 'virtual' expedition across Tasmania with a live 30 minute webinar, to introduce ourselves and our plans for 2023. James is especially interested in Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagles, and together we'll explain how we can all be part of finding out more about them. I'll be reviewing progress so far with this year's Where? Where? Wedgie! surveys, which people of all ages will be doing all across Tasmania, starting on 12 May.
NINE LESSONS
Recommended to run from Monday 15 May to Thursday 25 May (except Saturday and Sunday):
