This morning we had our last school presentation. We went to Pacific Harbour International School, where Mere works. The students were amazing. They were incredibly enthusiastic and engaged with what we were saying, which was great. The cooperation of the kids, along with the fact that we have a better idea of what we’re doing and how to deliver it meant that the morning went very well. We talked (and sang) about different types of renewable energy; what their advantages are, how to care for the systems and how electrical circuits work. We demonstrated how a circuit works using children as electrons, photons and lights, which we were very happy about. It was great to have such a successful presentation because one of the main aims of this trip was to find out what might work for future groups.
After the presentation, we settled in for another long day of traveling back to Nadi. The trip was broken up by a stop at a resort for snorkel. It was absolutely beautiful and very warm. We arrived back in Nadi ready for a cold drink and a good night’s sleep.
